Forex Market Hours Sessions (GMT Time):
London Market Hours 08:00 – 16:00 (GMT)
The Forex Market usually wakes up 2 hours before the London Session.
New York Market Hours 13:00 – 21:00 (GMT)
The New York and London Sessions has greater volume than the Sydney / Tokyo sessions. The most active forex market hours are when the London and New York Markets are overlapping.
Sydney Session 22:00 – 06:00 (GMT)
The Sydney Session has lower volume and activity and is not recommended for day trading.
Tokyo Session 24:00 – 08:00 (GMT)
has far less volume and activity than the New York / London Sessions. It has some potential for the USD-JPY Currency, but we prefer trading the most active forex market hours.
